Kennedy Space Center (KSC) - Internship
The NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) IT Project Management Office (PMO) provides project management of all IT projects that are of high visibility, high risk, or above certain monetary thresholds in accordance with the direction of the IT Configuration Control Board (IT CCB). The PMO will also track the budget and schedule performance of IT infrastructure upgrades. Additionally, the PMO will provide System Engineering (SE) expertise for the IT Directorate, including SE support on select projects. The Project Management and SE leadership of related IT activities is in accordance with NASA Information Technology and Institutional Infrastructure Program and Project Management Requirements, NPR 7120.7, and with NASA Systems Engineering Processes and Requirements, NPR 7123.1. An internship with IT PMO is very unique. You will have the opportunity to develop advanced skills and network with other interns and technical experts. In particular, you will provide supports to various project teams in developing technical content for procedure manuals, service manuals, and related technical publications that describes the development, operation and maintenance of spaceport technologies.

Student's special skills: Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences. Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, drawings, and engineering illustrations. Develops illustrative materials, drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts. Conducts quality review of materials.
